We are Amy and Anthony, a couple who have a huge passion for food, cooking it and of course eating it! We met in Australia and moved to the USA in 2014, spending our time first in Los Angeles and then New York. The latter part of that time in the beautiful Hudson Valley, arguably one of the most beautiful places on earth
Both of us love cooking and created this blog to share our passion for food. Our hope is to inspire some brilliant home cooking for you all
We have always enjoyed cooking together. Sitting down at the start of the week to plan our meals for the week turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Discussing & debating what delicious food we would prepare throughout the week using the amazing produce available to us in that part of the world was further heightened by the excessive amount of cooking shows we watched during lockdown! We’d be inspired by a Beef Wellington from Gordon Ramsey. Some beautiful pizza dough perfected by Mary Berry on the Great British Bake off. Or an amazing hamburger Guy Fieri destroys at a local dive bar on DDD.
We began planning meals. Sourcing produce and putting our own creative spin on many dishes that we’ve built up over the last few years. What started out as quite a daunting endeavor of (gasp) being organized, has since become a way of life for us. It has been a healthier and more cost efficient approach to eating. We’ve since moved from the US to Sydney, Australia. With lockdown well in the past, we’ve continued to maintain our weekly meal planning to this day. What’s more, we are ever expanding our repertoire of delicious recipes!
